That's the premise of "The Conversion," an Internet "micro-series" written and directed by Edward Valibus Phillips and produced by Benjamin Rednour and cinematographer Erik Morrison of Corduroy Wednesday, a local filmmaking company.

This tests the fine line of avant-garde art, comedy, and absurdity. "L'Hippopotame Vert FTW!" is a hybrid of mainstream comedy and pretentious existentialism. If we can make just one downtrodden philosopher smirk under their haggard demeanor then we have done our job well. That, and Hungry Hungry Hippos is a kick ass game.
